3 common forward ocho mistakes & how to correct them
The Foward ocho can also be entered to the right side – and the angle might also be 180°, or more or less.
We discussed, that the milonguero style forward ocho is also possible but should not be done, because the leder would walk backwards (endangering other dancers).
The forward ocho can also be used to change directions or turn by making one sidestep smaller then the other.
Change between back ocho and forward ocho
Because ther leader can change between the forwad and back ocho (or the other way) after the follower closes the feet (before the pivot), the ocho should not be done automatically.
