In meinem Beitrag Wohlstand für alle? habe ich neulich schon angemahnt, dass dringend eine ökonomische Verteilungsdiskussion notwendig ist. Ich bin leider nicht dazu gekommen, meine eigenen Ideen dazu aufzuschreiben, aber die folgende Diskussion ist ein interessanter und differenzierter Beitrag dazu. Ich veröffentliche ihn hier (ohne den darin vertretenen Positionen zuzustimmen) um die Diskussion voran zu bringen.

Interessant wird der Beitrag natürlich auch dadurch, dass er vor der US-Präsidentschaftswahl aufgenommen wurde.  (Chancen-)Ungleicheit zu bekämpfen ist auch schon deshalb wichtig, weil sie Demagogen und Despoten wie Trump, Putin und auch Erdogan erst ermöglicht – und auch den Aufstieg der AfD in Deutschland unterstützt hat.

Two Songs about Trump & Clinton

TrumpI would have never though, that any inauguration day would beat the sadness I felt when Ronald and George took office. But its here and its time to pay my tribute. Arthuro burried his pain his own way.

Mine is the music of others:
This two songs are much older then the 2016 US election – but today I heard them both and realized that they perfectly summarize the perception of the candidates and their relationship to the electorate (and why they voted [not] for them).  US Politics all wrapped up in two songs. Sounds crazy, but just listen (to the lyrics) and make up your own mind:
